Nor-Shipping gathered key maritime players from all over the world in Oslo, Norway in early June. As wind propulsion is increasingly getting traction in the shipping industry, Orcelle Horizon was a given on this year's agenda.

Orcelle Horizon was represented all week at the Maritime CleanTech community stand, while project partners Oceanbird and StormGeo exhibited their cutting-edge technology solutions at the Alfa Laval stand.

Jan Tarjei Kråkenes, head of Orcelle Acellerator at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, also took the stage to present their experiences with EU funding during an engaging Blue Talk session on Decarbonisation & funding opportunities.

Hosted by Maritime CleanTech’s CEO, Ada Martine Jakobsen, the session focused on how the EU’s funding mechanisms unlocks opportunities for shipowners, tech companies and others to realize innovative projects that cut emissions and strengthen competitiveness. As both Kråkenes and Jakobsen emphasised, Orcelle Horizon is a prime example, bringing partners together to enable wind as main propulsino for deep-sea RoRo vessels.

With wind in our sails from Nor-Shipping, we are excited to charge on with installing the first wing sail onboard the retrofitted Tirranna!
